With the ability to visualize and treat tumors simultaneously, MRI-guided radiation therapy has become an essential tool in patient care. The Zeus MRgRT Motion Management QA phantom makes this possible, enabling real-time motion management for improved treatment planning.
Thanks to piezoelectric motors and non-ferromagnetic materials, Zeus is fully MRI-compatible. The motors move a cylindrical insert containing a tracking target through a fillable body, rotating it independently of the downward-upward movement. In addition to visualization, all organs except the lungs offer cavities for ionization chamber dosimetry, enabling the entire QA process to be completed, from imaging to planning and verification of the delivered dose.
Motion Control Software
Zeus is operated with user-friendly Motion Control software that can be installed on any Windows computer.
Motion Control Software Features:
Built-in, customizable waveforms: Five built-in waveforms are available from a standard drop-down menu, and an unlimited number of clinically relevant, patient-specific waveforms can be imported.
Unlimited Motion Loops: Choose the number of loops to repeat by entering the desired value or opting for continuous repeat.
Advanced Motion Parameters: The software automatically calculates the best scenario to simulate the real 3D waveform, achieving the simulated volume.
Beam Latency Calculation: The Zeus motion control box communicates with Motion Control software to calculate beam latency specific to hybrid MRI-Linac systems, which can be accomplished by controlling the bottom-top motion of the moving insert/target.
