The end-to-end SBRT Phantom is a unique tool for high-precision commissioning and routine quality control required for high dose per fraction associated with SBRT deliveries.
Proven Tissue Equivalence: Linear attenuations of simulated tissues are within 1% of true attenuation for water and bone, and within 3% for lung from 50 keV to 15 MeV. The phantom contains a removable 3D anthropomorphic spine with cortical and trabecular bone as internal landmarks.
Daily system checks: The Phantom SBRT end-to-end contains multiple targets and alignment marks to verify that the imaging, localization, and aiming systems are aligned. This is critical for the accurate delivery of these high-dose treatments.
OSL Dosimeters: Three OSL pockets in the right lung provide high-resolution dosimetry measurements for the target and spinal cord in a single delivery.
Radiochromic Film: The removable spine allows film measurements in the sagittal orientation on the lower half of the spine bar. Film can also be placed in the sagittal slice on the spine and lung inserts.
