The DOSEman was developed as a personal radon dosimeter in a project by the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection. Its small size, light weight, and robustness allow the radon dosimeter to be worn permanently without stress. The integrated rechargeable batteries are sufficient for approximately 12 days of continuous operation. The radon dosimeter is completely tamper-proof and can be operated with a single button.
A short response time, achieved by the built-in alpha spectroscopy, ensures that the person using the radon exposure meter is immediately alerted in the event of a dangerous radon concentration.
The internal data memory is large enough to store a high-resolution temporal distribution. Data download and configuration management are performed via a wireless infrared interface.
The DOSEman radon exposure meter comes with the latest version of Radon Vision software.
The instrument comes with a DAkkS-compliant calibration certificate. The calibration process meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
