Smart Radon Sensor – Monitor for Building Automation Systems
SARAD’s exceptional detector technology sets a new level of radon monitoring in buildings and workplaces, as requested by recent EU radiation protection regulations.
The Smart Radon Sensor offers very high sensitivity in a small and elegant housing. Due to the detector technology, the instrument will not be affected by temperature and humidity variations, external radiation, mechanical shocks and vibrations.
Several interfaces for system integration are available. The RS-485 fieldbus interface can be operated with MODBUS RTU (industrial standard) or the proprietary SARAD protocol. The analog output facilitates the connection of the Smart Radon Sensor to existing PLCs.
An autonomous ventilation control system can be easily realized by the alert output.
For easy installation, all connections are available through a screw terminal.
If no data line is available, the optionally integrated ZigBee wireless interface can be used for connection to a host system.
The wide-range power input accepts all power sources commonly used in building automation. Measurement starts as soon as power is connected. Two AAA batteries are integrated to continue measurement in case of power interruptions.
All measurement results will be stored locally in a non-volatile circular memory.
Temperature and humidity sensors are integrated as standard, while CO2 and barometric pressure measurement are optional.
We use only high-quality and instrumentation-grade components for this product, which is manufactured at our site in Dresden/Germany. The instrument comes with a DAkkS-compatible calibration certificate. The calibration process meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
