To ensure accurate radiation dose delivery, daily checks of the alignment between the true radiation isocenter and the isocenters of the imaging, localization and targeting systems are necessary. The Daily ISO Phantom provides an economical, fast, and accurate means of testing isocenter coincidence.

Accurate, Economical, Easy to Use: With the Daily ISO Phantom, the linac’s lasers and light field can be “tuned” to the true isocenter of radiation using markings etched into the exterior of the Phantom. The alignment of the light field and the radiation field can then be checked using integrated radiographic markers. Importantly, onboard imaging systems and EPID isocenters can also be easily assessed for true spatial alignment and coincidence with that of the treatment beam.

The Daily ISO Phantom contains a single central fiducial point and an offset target, both ceramic and measuring 6.35 mm in diameter. The offset target helps ensure accuracy of table displacement coordinates generated by kV/MV adjustment – locating the target, moving the table by set amounts, and verifying positioning at the isocenter.

Objective Assessment: Machined with concentric circle external targets, the Daily ISO Phantom allows users to objectively evaluate all setup errors, including rotations, and easily align to the true radiation isocenter.

The ISO Phantom Diary is manufactured with a machining tolerance of ±0.02 mm and target positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm.
